Mechanical Process Planner

We require a Mechanical Process Planner for our client an Employment Equity employer that gives preference to suitable candidates who add to the diversity of the company. •    Compiling Manufacturing Method Data Pack’s from Engineering drawings and Technical Specifications, utilising Qmuzik, MS office and CATIA software.
•    Create mechanical / machining / assembly MMDP’s and bill’s of materials incorporating inspection requirements, machines to be utilized, heat and surface treatment, Jig / Tool / Fixture and NC machining requirements.
•    Compile manufacturing bill of material on Qmuzik and maintain via change control procedure.
•    Compiling globally competitive estimates for mechanical machined detail, Components / Tools / Jigs and fixtures with the current resources and identifying new machinery and processes required.
•    Liaise and follow up with all involved in the manufacturing process / problem solving / improve through put / optimise processes during industrialisation.
•    Liaise with Tool Design, NC programming, Manufacturing & Assembly facilities on new parts and assemblies.    
•    Know and understand Drawing Standards, limits, fits and geometric tolerances.
•    Identification and request of all Tool / Jig / Fixtures and N.C. programs per process.
•    Liaise with all associated departments, customers and clients.

•    Technical Qualification – NQF 5.
•    Qualified Mechanical/Toolmaker Artisan.
•    5 years post Apprentice machining experience.
•    PC literate in Word, Excel & Projects.
•    Qmuzik and CATIA experience.
•    Be able to work independently and represent the department at times.
•    Pro-active problem solver.
•    Ability to structure own work load and meet schedules.
•    Good interpersonal and communication skills.
